I retired from consulting at the end of 2015. My conference Farewell Tour to residency and graduate medical education programs continues through 2017.
My health care career began in 1972 at University Hospitals of Cleveland. In 1979, I started my consulting firm to help physicians improve the management of their practices. My practice evolved to advising physicians during their employment contract negotiations and other career decisions.
My first conference away from home was in Wichita, Kansas on April 12,1981, the day of the first Space Shuttle launch. Saying goodbye to friends I have made at programs around the country feels odd.
I wrote about practice management and physician career issues for national publications as well as a book,
Microcomputers and Your Practice: A Guide for Physicians (1985).
I adapted part of my two-day classroom conference into my Online Course, Find the Right Job and Negotiate a Better Contract. Learn essential skills in 30 detailed short videos. Lifetime access. Invest $10 in your career.
